A Safe Place

Personal Discipleship Counseling

Every working day, CFT receives calls from those who hunger for God's guidance in the midst of life's difficulties. Many want to know how to resolve personal issues such as loneliness, abuse anger, anxiety, fear, failure, and depression. Some come to CFT seeking healing for hurting marriage and family relationships, while others want to learn how to have a deeper relationship with God. CFT provides personal discipleship counseling for those who desire a safe place to biblically learn and address their particular concerns.

Serving Others

The purpose of CFT coaching and counseling is to educate and encourage men, women and children in how to build biblically healthy lives and families and train men and women to be lay coaches, mentors, and/or counselors in their area of influence.

Basic Beliefs

Jesus said that those who abide in His Word shall know the truth and the truth shall set them free (John 8:31-32). CFT coaches, mentors, and counselors believe that the Bible is truth and sufficient in addressing all of life's problems that are not organic in nature.

Pastor's Endorsement

"Counseling may at times change behavior. The only lasting change, however, is brought from the inside out. CFT Counseling seeks to lead people to know the love and grace of God in such a way that their lives are changed from the inside out." - J. Dennis Watson, Pastor, Harp's Crossing Baptist Church"

The uniqueness of CFT Counseling is found in a philosophy built around helping people better understand who they are in Christ and how this relationship with Christ can impact the emotional, relational, and spiritual struggles we face in life. I find such an approach refreshing and needed." - Gary E. Franklin, Pastor

Counselee Testimonies

"Through your counsel, we have learned to deal with our problems in a biblical manner. We better understand who we are in Christ and are not affected to a great degree by outside influences. We also have the knowledge to fight spiritual battles and live a more victorious Christian life." - A couple"

Words will not do justice to how much we appreciate your help. Thank you so much for your concern and counsel. We truly received our 'miracle.'" - A pastor and his wife

Financial Policy

As a non-profit organization, CFT has no set fees* for its coaching, mentoring, and counseling services. However, CFT does depend upon the financial donations it receives from counselees and others to operate. Therefore, counselees are encouraged to participate financially with a suggested donation. The Bible states in I Corinthians 9:11 that "if we sowed spiritual things in you, is it too much if we should reap material things from you?"

The Bible also says in II Corinthians 9 that a donation is acceptable according to what a man or woman has, not according to what he or she does not have. Therefore, no one will be refused counseling because of their inability to make a donation. The financial policy will be further discussed with counselees during their first session.

*There is a $30.00 cost per person to cover the administration, scoring, and evaluation of assessments.
